Our Statement of Faith

  • We believe that the sixty-six canonical books of the Bible (also referred to as, “Scripture”) are given by the inspiration of God and together comprise the only inerrant and infallible authority for faith and practice.
  • We believe that the authority of the church is subordinate to that of Scripture. We do not believe that church creeds, councils or declarations have authority greater than or equal to the authority of the Bible.
  • We believe in one God (also referred to as, “the Trinity”, “the Holy Trinity,” or “the Triune God”) existing in three co-equal and co-eternal Persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe that the Son (within the Triune God) is the eternal Son of God, whose name is Jesus Christ (also called, “Christ”). He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin woman named Mary. We believe Christ became truly man without ceasing to be truly God.
  • We believe all men have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23), incurring both physical and spiritual death which separates him eternally from God.
  • We believe Christ died a propitiatory and expiatory death as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who repent of their sins and believe in Him are justified before God on the grounds of His shed blood.
  • We believe in the bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, His ascension into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
  • We believe that Christ will descend again from heaven physically and visibly to judge the living and the dead, that is, He will judge the living, and the dead will also be raised to face His judgment.
  • We believe the Holy Spirit is the third Person within the Triune God who eternally possess all divine attributes together with the Father and the Son. He convicts of sin, regenerates and indwells believers, reveals spiritual truths, sanctifies and comforts the people of God. We believe every believer must be filled with the Holy Spirit (Eph 5:18 and Rom 8:9).
  • Finally, we believe in the eternal security, bodily resurrection and eternal blessedness of the saved and the eternal punishment of the lost.
